Music has the power to inspire, encourage, and connect us. Whether you're searching for children's voice lessons, adult singing lessons, or beginner vocal training, New Song Music Haven provides a supportive environment where students of all ages can develop their voices and grow in confidence.
We are committed to instilling a lifelong love for music excellence in Orff Schulwerk and vocal performance in Central Virginia. Scholarships and military discounts are available.
“Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it.” Psalm 98:7
My teaching style focuses on strong fundamentals (breath support, expressive singing, rhythmic accuracy, and ensemble awareness) while also allowing room for play, imagination, and personal discovery. Students learn through movement, practice, improvisation, and hands-on music-making, developing confidence they can carry into every area of life.
I offer military discounts and scholarships for lessons.
Please inquire with me if you’re eligible for either of these discounts!
Music is for every stage of life, including the rich and expressive voices of post-menopausal singers and mature male voices.
Whether you’re exploring new vocal colors, refining your breath support, voice placement, or rediscovering your love of singing, New Song Music Haven offers a nurturing space. Your lessons are rooted in dedicated research of singing through change, personal encouragement and solid exercises to strengthen your beautiful voice. Here, your voice is welcomed, celebrated, and strengthened.
I enjoy instructing students on pitched and un-pitched percussion instruments through play, movement and singing in a group environment. Collaboration evolves by playing and performing with others in a fun and unique setting. Orff classes are an excellent preparation for middle school band or orchestra, and enhance piano & voice lessons.
Teaching vocal technique through private singing lessons helps students develop their own, unique voice. Whether you are new to singing, or need help with a musical theatre role, college auditions, or brushing up breath support, I have many years of experience with singers of varying needs.

Wonderful! These lessons support intellectual, social, artistic, and emotional growth for students of all interests. I love teaching future engineers and teachers just as much as future performers.
What if my child doesn’t want to become a professional musician?
Call or email using the contact info below. After registration, I will send a list of required books, supplies, and studio policies. Scholarships and military discounts are available.
How do I register?
For private/buddy lessons, one parent is required to stay during lesson time for children under 18. Our summer camp utilizes one adult and one teen assistant, so parents are free to leave during camp.
